Okume plywood in Cali. found some 1/2in. for$16

That sound too good to be true Okume marine. Check it.
If it is true, I´ll buy a pallet for our prototypes, no matter what the shipping cost.

S3 Paint Not Dry ????

I checked and you are correct, it can be sprayed that way. Let´s wait to see what System Three says because I never encountered that problem.

OB15 Motor Well Bulkhead

With a 25, on that boat, you can leave them all out.
The floor is a major stiffener in this boat and the sides are not too high: no large unsupported panels.

Personally, I don´t like wide open hulls, I prefer to have something to hang on to bu...

If you are going to install an engine of more than 25HP, you should have that seat.

Now, keep in mind that we use very large safety margins: if you do a very good job of laminating, you can do without the sea...

Motorwell bottom: that´s on the plans. See the construction drawing: the dimension above the keel is shown there = 8". Form there, it is perpendicular to the transom.
Front floor (casting deck) level is also on the plan, same drawing. It is at the same level than the mid seat, 13" above sole.

r550

Hum, I shouldn´t do that, always get in troubles but . . . if you are interested in performance sailing, there may be a better choice.
We are currently designing a 15´ sailing dinghy that will be easier to build than the R550.
It is a cross between a R550 and the Javelin. That means, hull cros...

Marine Plywood?

I locked this discussion. As usual, threads about plywood get very long, become difficult to search and anyway, most of it has been said before.
Feel free to start another thread, I will clean up this one.
Before posting, please read our HowTos´ about plywood.
