Bertie,

I just sold my 73 FBSF and I had used epoxy extensivley in the engine room. Never had any issue. The engines don't generate enough heat to creat an issue in my opinion. What diesels are you going with?

Joel, I think this is the OB 15 I built and sold last year. It did go to Miami. Love to take a ride with that 50 yamaha on it.

I did exactly what you are talking about to the OB 15 I built. I put the stringers in per plan than made vertical stringers on top of them to bring the floor up to the chine elevation. I did what you are describing on my OB 15. Front deck is 6', aft deck is 4'. It work well.
