Just as a heads up/follow-up I think I found my problem. I did diagnostics on the engine ignition and fuel system and it turned up nothing. So I went forward and pulled the power head off to check for blockage in the exhaust port of the piston and found that was OK. What I did find was the lower cra...

I used a air inline sander to fair my OB15 with good results. The issue I had was that the $100 version made it about 75% of the way through so I had to return it and get a second one. They use a ton of air. My 5hp 50gal compressor runs all the time when it is in use. Couldn't find an electric one b...

I am fairly certain I do have a engine problem but it is strange. The compression on all four is 130psi. All have great spark. I run it and remove one plug wire at a time and you can here it in the idle except for the bottom cylinder. Soooo seam like no power being made there. Has spark and has comp...

The engine is most definitely low on the transome. I need to bring it up about and inch. I think something must be going on with the motor. I plan to give it the once over this week to see if anything is up. Spark and compression are good. The boat is light. I followed the laminant schedules and use...

Scott,

I am looking at at least 10 boat lengths and the engine slowly comes up to speed with the speed of the boat. No bogging down just very slow.

Fly, Don't know either yet. I bought this engine over the holidays and wanted to try it out before to much time went by. I put it in the water for about 30 minutes total. It seemed like I was getting about 25 - 30mph out of it. The real disapointment was the out of the hole speed. She didn't pop up ...

OB 15 PROPELLER SIZE

Can any of the OB 15 builders tell me what size motor and propeller you are using? I just ran mine fo the first time this weekend and was not real happy with the performance. I have a 45 hp Mariner and it appears that the prop is a 11 inch pitch. It was very slow to get on top. Any info. from other ...

LB 26

Jacques,

I know you are getting hounded on the new boats you are designing but I was trying to get a feel for when the LB 26 was going to be ready for purchase. I have my 28 Bertram Sportfish on the market in anticipation. Do you have any predicted performance numbers yet?

Thanks,
Jim

Adam,

Looks really nice. I am finishing up my OB 15 as well. I would be interested in how it runs with the 25hp. I have a 55 but I think it is to much. Great job.
