Well, I'm still a bit confused Jacques. That 1" of outside stringer that sticks out isn't sticking out past the clamping board. It's 2 feet further aft, sticking out past the motor well stringer. Easy to cut it flush, but with no notches in the clamping board I must then still cut the outside string...

Well I'll be darn, looks like I got it going on :D Thanks to Spokaloo for Photobucket. That yields a smaller, acceptable url. And thanks for the beautifully detailed (what I needed) directions on starting a gallery. It's rudimentary now but started. Wondering who that old guy in the Gallery picture ...

Hey MadRus, yeah, I was feeling it a bit last night. And I even edited the post on Preview to try and tone it down a bit. A big saturday breakfast on a nice cool rainy morning here in the Texas hill country has eased me considerable however :) Regarding butting the stringers against the transom/clam...

Ok I give up. I can't post images and I think I'm beginning to irritate Jacques with my wordy questions that could be so easily resolved if I could just post this image: http://render2.snapfish.com/render2/is=Yup6aQQ%7C%3Dup6%3DzqH%3AxxqUD7qRUrKxzX7BHpUUKxgXPPa%3F87KR6xqpxQQG0xQPlxeaexv8uOc5xQQQPaJn...

I used 4200 last winter and read the same thing. I tried putting a piece of plastic over the tip and then screwing the top on over the plastic. Several weeks later it worked just fine.

Thanks Rick--I'll play with that this weekend when I have time and energy (it's getting on to 8:30, startin' to push ole Dougster's bedtime :) I recall struggling over how to even create an album. First I want to be able to post pictures on the fly here--could have saved Jacques some aggrevation. Sp...

OK, well if I can explain #2 better I think you can easily answer and I get off this stringer thing :) Here it is. The stringer is composed of two parts, the "inside" stringer and the "outside" stringer glued together. It's very clear in the plans and notes. Now, the planes show where to cut the slo...
