Building your own bracket has some risks involved with it. I know the N/As here do not want to get involved as there is too much risk. Hard to control how well the glass work is done. That being said doing it like Daytrip did has a large chance of success, IMHO :wink: I built one that way for a 21 f...

Welcome to the fun. You will find a good group of helpful folks here. Cracked Ribs gave good advice. Make sure you have the hull blocked up well so it does not change shape on you when you start gutting it.

I like the reverse slanted windows. They are not too common down south but lots of them in this part of the world.

Do the plans call for a self bailing deck? Is the footboard above the waterline? If you build it to plan it will self bail when empty. Problem is none of us build to plan and our dories end up way over weight. I raised the deck one inch and still need to plug the scuppers with people in it. But it ...
