Re: Seeking Design Capable of Apprx 1200 to 1500 lbs of Payl

Like you I have some concerns about 'the flip'. I was actually more concerned about one-man handling the larger panels. For all its drama the flip only happens a few times. The strength of the epoxy-glass / ply / epoxy-glass laminate is impressive; not at all what you might be expecting. If you're c...

Re: Craigslist "deals"

CL things... before you read know that I'm not inherently trusting... I'd ask the seller to cold-start it in front of you. Check the motor beforehand to make sure it's cold. An OB in good condition will usually light right up. Others here can advise on things like prop play in rotation and longitudi...

Re: Multi-Purpose Topside Color GF16

Thanks to all - I'm leaning towards a lighter beige. I do give the RN credit, though - typically when they sit down and really try to figure something out the results are more than acceptable.

Twarted... by the Big D

Just about ready to lay out panels and start marking when... The Big D struck. It wasn't a surprise but it wasn't exactly on the calendar, either. So - no more house, no more a lot of things. Apartment lifestyle will be a thing for a while at the very least. Thanks to everyone here who helped over t...

Re: GF16 In The PSL

Been away for a while-never got a chance to say just how great that looked. Question - how'd you feel about someone else... well 'copying' is such a bad word - let's say 'imitating' (the sincerest form of flattery 8) ) that grab-bar / stand-up design element in their own GF16? Also - how're you find...

Re: My perfect do-it-all boat

Yeah - not sure I'd want quite that much water aboard. 75G is 600lbs just by itself not including well structure, bigger pumps than your average bass boat hatches and framework etc. That's also a tremendous amount of water all the way aft. Add another 200+ for a baitwell and you're really packing on...
