4-stroke definately a priority. The ability to install a use an insulated motor well cover also.I might be willing to accept only 25 hp to get down into smaller two cylinder size range. It looks as though the yamaha f25 has been discontinued. If this is so its too bad.The f25 was probably the lightest...

LB22 motor choice

My plan is to do an FS17 next and a LB22 after that.My motor chioce will be what is ultimately the best for the LB but will be used on both boats.I REALLY want to be able to completely cover the motor as in the study plans. Which 30 horse FS would have the lowest profile? What about the Honda BF30? ...

Eric, just how many boats do you have in your head? :D Thanks for the heads up on Dear Janet.I now remember that boat had turned my head a couple of years back. I've now,I think, solved my FS17 seating problem.I've had very good luck fabricating complicated shapes out of multple layers of epoxied pl...

Count me in. I have been racing a Force 5 for a number of years.I've always liked the Zuma hull although underpowered.I am afraid that a lot of potential builders will be put off by the cost of the hardware and rigging.Would you attempt to use the rudder, mast, etc. from an existing boat to help keep ...

Wow,thats too bad.I'd always thought of this place as an "A hole free zone" I guess thats about as effective as those "gun free zones" on college campuses. Just a damn shame, really. :(

My other consuming interest is clay shooting (sporting mostly). Its funny to hear boat builders talking about the balance and elegance of a jig saw.It sounds just shotgunners waxing poetic about $3000 Italian shotguns!

as you were,cary on.
