Re: XXXF20 Build

:D As we get older we are supposed to get smarter lol ... I guess I missed the boat ))) I can't help it, enjoyed myself so much on the little flats boat and love it to death when I am out riding around on it. I know I could buy a used one cheaper than I can build but I have a dream that maybe I coul...

Re: XXXF20 Build

Yeah this is a texas style for sure )). The XF 20 has turned out to be almost perfect for me. I can now run to some great spots as the crow flies regardless of tide and there aren't too many others down here in the keys can do that. I've seen a few try to follow me and turn around just in time lol. ...

Re: XXXF20 Build

Thanks again guys!! The sailboat is not a Bateau design so doubt he would want it here. I will post it on Boatdesign.net but it's still in the plan mode. Have to sell my house but I did at least find a boatyard with the space to build it and the lift to launch it once it's built. I would def use a m...

Re: XXXF20 Build

Thanks, a few more pics while testing the new anti-cav plate. As for the cav plate, I nailed it. What a huge difference to bring the sides down further, not only does it pop me up on plane better, I can stay on plane going slower, makes turning much easier, pressurizes water coming out of the tunnel...

Re: Cvincent's PH18

What density foam are you using. Coosa 26 lb is what I used. 1.5 inch of coosa with 120oz glass on each side, could hold a 300 LOL!!!

Re: XXXF20 Build

Looks nice Jorge. I guess I'm a little confused by the bolts if they don't go through the plate  What is the block of wood for - relieving pressure on the jack plate? The bolts run just along the edge of the motors anti-cav plate and clamp the top and bottom parts of the plate, that I made, to...

Re: XXXF20 Build

Are you sure you don't need more bolts on that compression plate? It looks a little insecure - just saying! You kind of need them because they don't go through motor plate, they are for clamping pressure of top and bottom pieces. The top piece gives rigidity to the bottom piece, it's not just...

Re: XXXF20 Build

and here is the compression plate installed. I used Gorrila Adhesive instead of 5200, always like to test new products, it's supposed to be waterproof and stay more flexible, we will see. Test next weekend, had to let the adhesive cure. http://www.mantaproductions.com/XF20/plate9.jpg http://www.mant...
