Re: AD 14

Hallo Bondo, can You explain the 'SATIN' in more detail please. I know we have got satin bed sheets but they are specially glossy.
Are You using some powder called SATIN to achieve the opposite of gloss ?

Re: AD 16 DWL

Hallo Jaques, Do this 12 " above the bottom of the boat also apply for the AD 14 and how many pounds would be the capacity ? I guess the 12 " would be looking at my plans exactly what is marked as BL. Is this correct ? ( I came to that because Frame C is 11 " and the deepest point is a bit lower ver...

Re: AD16 Karenina

Hallo Stuff, All the best for Your father. I hope he will be OK soon and then You can again report cheerfully about the work he helped You with like the centreboard shaping. I am about the age of Your father and therefore I pray for him and myself to see our Adelie s splashing soon. Give him my good...

Re: AD 14

Hallo bondo, Besides the question for Jaques about finishing your boat one has not seen anymore postings from you. You have not stopped boatbuilding 2 minutes before the splashing ? I have a question or two about you applying primer to the boat. It looks so perfect, did You spray paint it or have yo...

Re: AD16 Karenina

Hallo Stuff, I hope Your finger will soon be alright. I thought that You went rather fast with a planned 1 Year building time. Now at least with Your injury there is the excuse to postpone the splash from Your wifes birthday in Dec to next Years mothersday. By then You can even have the baby on boar...

Re: AD 14, question for Jacques

Hallo Bondo,
Sorry to have used Your threat, but as You are also quite cost conscious I thought my questions fit in there.

Re: AD 14, question for Jacques

Hallo Jaques, I know one should not look at every detail before bulding the AD14. But I have 2 questions while I am waiting for the plywood to arrive from France. ( Both questions have the hindsight that I want to build the boat on a shoestring budget. ) 1. Is it possible to extend the wings on AD14...

Re: AD 14 KIELGE

At last I have ordered the plywood Okoume at a nearby supllier here in Austria. It is cheaper than the German suppliers but with the disadvantage that it comes all the way from France and I will have another wait for 6 weeks. I tested in the meantime how to upload pictures into the builders gallery ...

Re: AD 14 KIELGE

Hallo Bondo, Thank You for the suggestion about a mix of the panel sizes. I did also some drawing of the nesting on the bigger boards, but I came to the conclusion to rather go for the 8x4 panels of Daniel Georgus. Yes plan sheet D264/11 Sail Plan Al.Mast has the rake 2 degrees. But if I read correc...
