Super caps fix that. Once my bats implode I’ll be swapping and getting a metric crap ton more efficient petrol use. Ass...

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

I’d stick with what you have for sure. But should you ever decide to go pure E with diesel generator, super caps are going to be the ticket. The big win got pure E is the ability to charge fast, sustain full discharge with no change to charge cycle, and the ability to disregard charge/discharge cycl...

Super capacitors? Considered them? Haven't even heard of them!
Well, shoot. I figured you’d have heard of them. They are replacing batteries in many applications. I’ll see if I can find some 48v descriptions and PM you

Re: 2019 Southeastern Boat Builders Meet

That seems like a light load there...

Reid, if we can do post Jan 1, there's a much higher potential of my attendance. This may cause you to prefer a PRE-jan 1 date. :)

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

GB,

I’m glad you’re enjoying (relative) the drive system (at least part of it). I’ve been looking at battery alternatives and have settled on super capacitors. Forced more than settled really. Did you give those a look when specifying the eDrive system?

Re: 2019 Southeastern Boat Builders Meet

I really wish I could be there. I swear Jeff calls my boss and asks "when do you have blackout dates" before determining the weekend. i'd love to sample (in excess) a few of your bottles.
