Re: Sintes 21 Rebuild

We clearly need an “unbiased” witness to verify the “workboat” on that boat. I volunteer.

Re: New GPS

There you go... wouldn’t surprise me to see fuzz siting on his porch, bottle of shine, watching Mrs Fuzz iAd the plane with water and salmon all the while muttering “I’ll show those southerners how we do it in Alaska...”

Re: New GPS

Pre-smoking the fish and moose are you? I can see how that would work for moose.... but fish? I am picturing maybe water bombers picking them up and dropping them over the fire maybe? You Alaskans do things differently... up all summer sleep all winter. How am I to guess exactly what y’all are doin...

Re: AD16 Question from Email

With the ad16 I’d think you’d need a bowsprit to get anything like a real masthead rig. A lot of boat run fractional with no issues so I’m not sure the problem. The “cat” rig was a building choice want it? From my brief recollection of Boogie’s plans isn’t it just running the stays to make it a stay...

Re: New GPS

The j30 is a tad small for me “long term”. Thinking the j105 (10.5m) would be right. But I seem to be settling into the Bavaria 35 “owners” layout for keeps. Trying to talk myself out of a trip to visit a few...

Re: New GPS

The gps maps got us in trouble on the j30 the other day. “Fresh” maps still can’t account for actual shifting due to storms or changes in currents. So when the chart plotter says “12ft” but the depth gauge and bottom image say “6ft” guess which one Is wrong? Sea tow reminded the argumentative party ...

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

Short explanation: it’s the part where the CB enters the hull. It heavily reinforced and often a significant source of ballast. In a lot of boats it’s internal to the hull. JM uses external shoe.

At least that’s how it was explained to me. JM can correct me if I’m wrong.

Re: ST21 Hybrid Powered "SKINNYDIP" Noosa Australia

When we lose power at the house, it turns into a big party cooking all the fish stocked in freezers. You eat it it feed sharks. There’s always enough liquor. Just have to remember who that “people with problems” are and pace their consumption.

Re: Anyone Fishing?

they are kind of the freshwater version of barracuda. but you get to deal with sticks, lily pads, reeds and all kinds of things most saltwater folks don't think about too much (unless they are in the marshes). I've watch folks nab pike with a bit of foil on a hook. Saw the same trick for cuda. Hence...
