Re: One Off Scooter Boat Build

Good job. Can’t wait to see the finished boat all rigged up.

Re: Playak12 - are vents realy needed?

On the Plyak that I built a GoreTex vent like the ones used on surfboards was used for the front compartment and a deck plate/day hatch with interior storage bag was used for the rear compartment.

Re: FS19 (-5%) in GA

That’s a good looking boat on that lift. Definitely not a stitch and glue style. Like the blue color too. Wish I could see under the cover and take a look at the interior. Clinker style? Lapstrake?

Re: Panga 22 or Novi 23

You may want to strongly consider the P25 instead of the P22. Pangas are very narrow boats, designed for efficiency and low cost of build and operation. Not as much interior space as some of the other boats with a wider beam. The plywood, fiberglass and epoxy for the 25 is only $1,000 more. Most of ...

Re: C19 - Changing from 20 to 25" Shaft

Dan,
I’ve got a Bob’s Machine shop manual convertible jack plate in my garage collecting dust. Took it off my brothers boat. Let me know if you want it.

Re: Panga 22 or Novi 23

My brother is really enjoying using his FS 19 all over the bay. But a boat that I think would fit your requirements well would be the new Tina 21 design. It reminds me of the bay style crab boats that I grew up with.

Re: C19 in Richmond, VA

They always seem to look bigger after they are flipped. When you have to climb in and out to glass the interior it will really feel big.
