Right.
I wasnt thinking of a spring loaded bycicle type but sprockets on slides you can manually adjust up/down over time as stuff settles in and the chain stretches. Maybe overkill though.

How will you tension the chain?
Could you plqce tensioners under the crossmember nd then you wouldnt need to pass through it? (Two birds with one stone?)

As someone without experience who browses the threads here a lot thinking about my first project.... I prefer seeing the early stages and the mistakes and how mistakes were overcome. If you don't share them during your processes, then people like me are doomed to repeat them when you could have save...

The more I look at it and think about it your FS12 might be big enough.
I could also build it in my shed before building a shop (which I will need for larger projects)
What working/curing temps do your epoxy resins require?

Thank you for your quick response. I am still in the researching/studying/dreaming stage but your answers sound good to me. Lighter is great though not my primary goal in choosing foam. (the experience in making it lighter and in efficient light hand layups is a large goal) I live in Alaska so will ...
