Re: HC12 England

I am glad to read any build threads here.
Hoping to start on my own HC14 within a week or two. (nearly ready to start but now that my checklist is nearly done it seems the honey-do check list has grown immensely)

Re: HC14 + FS17 planning

Some build threads seem to have one and some do not. How necessary is the yolk? Can it be omitted if the seats and rub-rail ar...

Re: FS 19 build

Agreed it is looking very nice!

I do have a question about the rub-rail, it looks like there are a couple of areas with gaps but hard to see in the picture... are there, or is it already filled with epoxy/wood flour and is just an optical illusion?

Re: My cx 25

I think the fear is that without a larger radius on the tip, your tape will bubble out and cause huge voids while curing, the tape/cloth doesnt like sharp corners like that which is why you have the fillets inside corners and sanded or routed radius on outside corners.

Re: FS 19 build

Had over $1000 of epoxy paint we put on my basement floor yesterday.
Just before we burst the first pac of epoxy to start mixing the guy I was working with said,

Re: Shipping to Alaska

There is a welder here who makes those trailers, some of them have a hitch on the back so you can pull a couple at a time like circus carts.
Really handy for unloading small planes with as you can drive them under wings and tails without worrying about hitting.
