not if you ask my son, doesn't matter if we are going out in the boat in an overcast drizzle or to play in the snow in Feb.... he thinks socks and jackets and hats are unnecessary.

also another thought, you have probably already done this, but I often miss the most obvious when I am frustrated with something..... Have you drained the valve on the bottom of your compressor tank?

Took a friend with us after work to roast sausages on a beach across the lake. 3 adults a 115lb youth and a dog with big lawn chairs and bags of food, still went 24mph at 3500rpm.
