10% is the recommended max for scaling the designs here.
Is there a 15-17ft model you could adapt more easily?

Work pulled me in last weekend for an emergency trip so didnt get much done. Today I finished sanding the edges of all the tapes down on the in walls and seat boxes, then applied fresh epoxy to a few spots I broke through to wood. Say the project takes you 18 months at 2hrs a night average. Roughly 500hrs. If you sell your self cheap at $10 an hour that's $5000 if $20 an hour its 10k, etc.... You could go cheap on supplies, but then you are saying the time and effort you put into the project isnt worth buying the good stuff. ...

Spend $500 and make a canoe, the cheap canoe or the HC14. Doing that you will learn the system, how easy it is and how the plans work etc...
