When I wiped away the dew drops the next morning the paint was ruin...

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

Thank you!

I am waiting for the Sun to burn the dew off before I continue with the painting . I did not cover the boat last night so she is covered in dew . I took this pic to show how nicely the water beads . Glad I went with a high-quality paint .

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

The cabin top and sides have 2 coats and are done. Everything aft of the cabin wings has one coat; second coat coming tomorrow. I’m super happy. I was going to wait until tomorrow to post pics but I know how everyone on the forum loves new pics so here you go. Shadows mess things up a bit though

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

Thank you Tony, OQ, Jeff and Reid! Woke up to another beautiful sunny day here in Myrtle Beach! Today I plan to finish the first coat of paint, start work on the cabin hatch and continue sanding inside the cabin. Oh, and I'm heading out in a few minutes to get the Lexan and stainless steel bolts for...

We clearly have different definitions of “the weather cleared up”.

She’s looking sharp! What are you doing for boot stripe? She looks damn good now.
 Thanks Jaysen! I just mean that it's warm enough and dry enough to paint.

No boot stripe- just going to leave it as is

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

The weather has finally cleared up and I’m back at it again. Today I finished the centerboard installation by by adding the 5200 sealant under the pivot washers on both sides. Once the sealant was cured I tightened the nuts. I also installed (2) 6” watertight inspection plates on the cabin floor usi...

Re: AD16 Myrtle Beach

It works well the only problem I had was when I pushed it open the front of it would slide in my deck and screw up my paint so O put a 3in wide strip of 1.4 inch plastic down with a few scrues and now it slides on that and dose not damage the paint. You can also see how I did my rigging on that pic...
