Yes the hull has preformed top and sides and is a foot or so forward. I removed the aluminum trim and lifted the top shell of the boat off and slide it foreword to gain access to the transom. Foam Weak Link

I figured that might be an issue, it is just filling in mionor gaps its not really structural.
