She passed the inspection. FWC guy was super cool, took a a length measurment, glanced at my giant pile of recipets(i saved every one) and printed out my paper. I'll be on the water soon!

I got the jackplate mounted today... waiting to fabricate a washer plate for the inside before i glue and tighten everything down. She'll be on the water in the next few weeks. I replied once to the post but i think my phone is messed up i may have hit the wrong button. the boat is intended to be used as a shallow water guide boat here in chassahowitzka. i'm rigging it with a tiller motor and jackplate right now. I also differed from the plans a bit and shortened the front...

kiwigrip on the decks and gunwales. I went back and brushed a thin coat over the tacked up nonskid and it took some of the aggressiveness out. Should feel a little better on the bare feet. finishing the floor tomorrow then the rigging begins...

thanks guys. I have a 50 tiller to put on it right now and also the mercury 75 4 stroke that i plan on putting on the back but it needs to visit the shop and get a tiller handle put on. not really any different then rolling and tipping. thin the paint properly, brush on a thin coverage on a small area then tip it off any imperfections and brush marks... :lol: how do you think they painted boats before the 50's.

thanks everyone and merry xmas! I used a 3 inch brush on the entire boat. no spraying or rolling. just brushed on then lightly tipped.

Last coat of seafoam went on yesterday. Gonna let it cure for a few days then apply the kiwi grip... She'll be on the water soon.
