Re: Thru Hull Questions

Don't use stainless in salt water, above the waterline is okay (I still don't like it) but below is a no no- people will argue this but do the research. Marelon or silicon bronze and UL listed. Be vary of marelon as it doesn't take much to break it.

Re: TW28 Luka

When I was thinking about the down angle transmission I wasn't thinking about an aquadrive or python drive, maybe a centiflex coupling or similar to allow the engine to float a bit. My main purpose was to install the engine level not at an incline - the benefit, slightly lower center of gravity and ...

Re: 1208 Biax/Mat with Vinylester Resin

I've heard this from a few "retired designers" insisting that there is no reason to use epoxy. Its based on their history, when they were building and designing epoxy was in it's early stages. Re: TW28 Luka

That's interesting.. so if I went with a 7 degree down angle transmission I would be in good shape.

Re: TW28 Luka

Rick any considerations to install an angle drive transmission? That's what I've been thinking about lately. I believe that Cumhur used and angle drive.

Jacques, want to chime in here?
