Good question. I've been wondering (or 'Pondering' as Cracker Larry would say) just how to work out my motorwell drains.

Motor Well width concern

I was getting everything ready for the motor well assembly and decided to measure the steering rod length on my motor. (40hp Yamaha) With the motor bracket turned to the stop it measures 16 7/8" from the center. Huh, the plans call for 32" motor well width inside. :doh: So, it looks like it needs to...

FS17 Transom glass?

Is wide fabric needed on the inside of the transom or just the tape around every seam of the motorwell assembly enough?

I already have 2 layers of tape around the sides and bottom. When the motorwell sides and top are glassed in there won't be much of the wood not glassed.
