BeanBags are the finest chair on a boat. You ride in one long enough and you wont want to do a damn thing or sit in anything else, promise you that! IF you have anyone you know that has a bad back that hasn't fished in years, you take them out with you and sit them in that chair. They will thank you...

Two schools of thought....

production quality boat

work boat quality boat

Prolly every coastal city has a local builder that builds
a work boat quality boat geared towards the type of
fishing and usage in your area. Look around thats who
your going to be building against.

Perhaps a low sheer MG would better fit the need for speed. Thats one of the main things with the bass boats you listed, both have very low sheer, the other part is they don't have all that much deadrise. I'm sure you know they run on a "pad" on the transom rather than in the V part of the transom l...

I've been in my share of go fast bass boats. A really good friend of mine has a Bullet that is over tripple digets and its nuts. None of the boats that are of current design have hull speed ratings of much over 50 let alone 75. Who's boat is it going to be, yours or your fishing padna? Is he funding...

The plate you see on Cracker's boat is about the best way to do what your wanting AFTER you have the proper thickness. I found one on FLEABAY made of polished stainless steel. It wasn't much money and worked fantastic. The last part of my two cents is. Make sure you use jam nuts after you put on loc...

Ask PastorBob how stable a D15 fully decked is or do a couple searches... Didn't realize Pastor Bob built a D15... Searched some but never saw his build. He didn't, he is building a GF 16. His stability tests and comments were on my GF 16  I GUESS my meds are still playing tricks on me but I ...

.... Not to mention my fishing partners are like elephants on roller skates. Sounds like you are going to loose some fishing buddies overboard once you build that FS18. Post plenty of pictures! Anyway, someone else made mention of the trailer arm thinggy. That's a great idea. That opens me b...

An elevated front deck on the D15 looks like it would be pretty unstable. Not to mention my fishing partners are like elephants on roller skates.
