Yes, I think it will be speedy. The bottom has been reinforced some. The boat though will be on the heavy side because every exposed surface has been covered in fiberglass. Guessing the boat will make low to mid 40s. I won't worry too much Jacques over design his boats anyway, so the extra 25 HP wo...

Thank you Larry B and Karl I Put biax tape on all the seams inside and out and also over the kerfs, first thought of covering the seats after this in light woven fabric, but they are already pretty strong now so I'm not sure anymore, what do you guys think? http://gallery.bateau2.com/albums/userpics...

Can't you clamp it in between rubber trim like in the picture? If possible Imo that's the way to go

I looked to see if you've answered this already and didn't an answer: Is the piece going from front to aft across the cockpit just a temporary thing to secure the hull?
