fs 14 panel drawing question

Post by Johnaua » Thu Mar 09, 2017 1:42 pm

Hello, first time trying to build. I need some clarification looking at the plans 276/4
If says all measurements from baseline. When the the plan calls for 1 3/8 from the bottom of the ply wood sheet and then 20" do i mark the 1 3/8 and from there the 20" or do I measure the 20" from the bottom of the sheet. That goes for all measurements that gap at the bottom of the sheet. I looked at your 101 tutorial but those panels are straight
Sorry for what might obvious but a bit unclear for me being my first time
Thanks

John

Look at the text, next to the arrow. It says:
"All dimensions from baseline".

That means, you measure all the dimensions from that line, from the same line.
That means 1-/38 from the baseline and then 20" from the same line.

In this case, the baseline is also the edge of the plywood sheet.
