FS12 Drain Plug Suggestion

Post by nbluntzer » Sat Mar 18, 2017 4:47 pm

Looking for a suggestion on which drain tube and plug to use on my FS12. For the tube should I use a standard brass tube and flange it? A garboard perhaps? Super nervous about drilling a hole in the transom, so I want to make sure to get it right. :help: I would love some suggestions of what route to take. Somethings that's easy to install and will work in saltwater too.

I used the standard brass tube on my LB22. It works well and looks nice, but for the flange it's easiest to buy or borrow the "flanging" tool. There has been one going around on loan here in the past, dunno about now. It's not expensive. Here's a little Jamestown how to and the tool.
