So I should save the bow for last?

That's what I did on the FS13. Still had to do a little trimming as topwater said.

Thanks Barry!

Thing are coming together. I got the bow looking pretty good. Not sure if I need to work on it more. Attaching the bottom panel, I've noticed a few hard spots and took a saw to them. They are looking good!

It's been some time since my last post. I've made some progress (Will post more pics soon) and I am neat ready to fiber glass the seems.

I do got a question. Right now the tip of the bow is flat as in the picture. How do I round it? Do I add more epoxy filler and shape it?

Also, how can I add pictures so you can see them within the post?

Did you upload the photos to the gallery? It looks like the one you're trying to include is described as an "attachment".

You can take any rough abrasive/cutting tool you can handle and round off that bow stem- belt sander, wood rasp, coarse sandpaper and block of wood (too much work), plane and then sand . . . or you could build up the area with epoxy/woodflour and then shape it, or a combination of the two.

Thanks Hank, I'll probably do a combo of the two!

I am trying figure out the dimensions for the breast hook and stern knees. The plans says they should be 3/4" thick, but they don't give more info than that? Does anyone know what they should be for this 13'4" rowboat monster?

I don't have the plans so can't say why the dimensions of the breast hook and knees aren't given. They were in my plans. As this is a structural element, I wouldn't just take a wild guess. If you can't find them on the plans, wait for an answer from Jacques.

As to posting photos, this is how it is supposed to work: Right click on the photo after you've uploaded it to your gallery and choose "copy image address". Then return to your post and click on the photo icon above the text field (it's third from the right and when you put your cursor over it, it will say "insert image". The img and /img tags will appear within brackets. Hit "control V" and the URL of your photo will appear between the img tags. Click on the preview tab and you should see it. But in the case of your photo it appears the URL is not correct. Did you upload the photo to your gallery using the "upload file" tab at at the top? I don't see your gallery but maybe I'm not searching correctly.

The knees and breatshooks are structural but exact dimensions are not critical.
Make the knees (transom) with a 8" side and the breasthook with a 14" side.
It is too much for the breasthook but prettier.
