Painting a boot top on a Prameke"?

Post by seatime » Thu Aug 31, 2017 9:44 am

Has anyone out there painted a boot top on their Prameke. Do you have the measurements? I'm in the process of painting my boat and don't want to put it in the water to mark the waterline.

Thanks

Well, you got me looking. An interesting project. Here are a couple of sites with some discussion of tanbark sails:

https://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/t ... ark-sails/

Looks like it is not an easy question, given the variety of chemicals, both natural and synthetic, that have been used. Probably a lot of trial and error involved, using up scraps of fabric.

Be sure to post your results!
