OK, that makes sense Capt UB: mast head.
The problem with that on an AD16 is the height of the mast. It may be possible with an expensive carbon fiber spar.

With the ad16 I’d think you’d need a bowsprit to get anything like a real masthead rig. A lot of boat run fractional with no issues so I’m not sure the problem. The “cat” rig was a building choice want it? From my brief recollection of Boogie’s plans isn’t it just running the stays to make it a stayed rig?

Maybe I’m missing something though.
