I tried to say something but God thought I was wrong and filled my mouth with saltwater. I kept my pie hole shut after that.

I has been a while since i have posted so here is the latest.

Moved her to the coast last seeking hoping to get a lot done and maybe get offshore. Well the gale that blew for 3 days kind of ruined those plans.

Did manage to get her in the water saturday afternoon for about 4 hours. Not a single mechanical hiccup but having problems with getting the garmin electronics working correctly. the sounder will not show depth. it is one of the chirp transducers. unfortunately the guys at tech support don't work o n weekends and you have to be in front of the machine for them to help troubleshoot.

The tach and floscan were working and it looks like 32kts at 3600 rpm with a 20 g/h burn WOT. 2600 rpm gives me 24kts at 8g/h.

She is still to lite even with the extra 800 lbs from full tanks. Going to pick up some lead and start adding it as ballast till I get the chines in the water.
Will start with a 1000 lbs.

I will be in Jacksonville at the Southeast Boat Show in a couple of weeks if anyone would like to stop by the booth and get some of my custom wahoo lures

Here are a few pix with the riggers on:

Heading down to Cayman the week of the boat show, but would love to see your Wahoo lures. You have a company? Got a link? Have friends in the Anglers Club there who love Wahoo fishing.

Have 1000 lbs of lead ready for pickup tomorrow. Salvage from sailboat keels. going to try and get electronics working and venture offshore on saturday. I must admit that i am a little nervous about it. I spent the night a few years ago drifting in the gulf stream waiting for the coast guard to rescue me. It was never a dangerous situation just not a great way to spent a night. Towboat said they were too busy to come get me and the first cutter that left from morehaed broke down so we had to wait for one to come from hatteras. That was the 3rd breakdown on that boat. I no longer own her!

The wahoo lures can be found on the website. www.crystalcoastlures.com

I hear you on that first trip. Thankfully I have not had that experience before.

Interested in the lead? I think i need the same thing. I am surprised at how expensive it is, like a 1.20 a pound?

Guys, please tell me where you are buying lead for $1.00 to $1.20 per pound. I have quotes of nearly $2.00 and a customer needs 1000 lbs for his sailboat!! Jeff
