Can't believe it's been so long since last update in July. I lost my job in September and had to slow down on the boat. But I'm back with some progress. I have the engine assembled and in the boat. I'm going to be adding pulleys and alternator, the. Start to run wiring so I can run just the engine to break it in.

Still can't figure out. The picture thing

Just read it again from the beginning. Do not stop! Love this project. Is your uncle still around? Taking him for a spin would be sweet!

Yes he is still around, I saw him at a recent family reunion last summer and we talked. He hit me up for a ride. I keep in touch with him when I go to Port O' Conner and sometimes I pick his brain when I get stuck on something.

Thanks for the words Jeff, I have a job right now just to bring in some money for bills and stuff. But I will be back into my field shortly.

Been a bit again but I'm still at it.
I did find a job, been hard at it for two months. Managed to get the exhaust on and front pulleys. It's slowly getting there. I have the heat exchanger in and will try to install it this weekend

Small update. I got the closed loop cooling system finished, I cleaned up and reused my uncles brass piping and clear coated it. Kinda looks patina, but not many will see it. Got it all plumbed up and the reservoir mounted with overflow tubing. Next I'll move on to fuel system. I have a mechanical fuel pump, but now I'm reading that it needs to be marine compliant, which has an extra port in case the diaphragm ruptures it will send gas to rear of carb instead of all over the bilge.
