Started laying up the hull bottom section. Basically building up thickness until I get within 3/16 of the inner skin surface. Then I will scarf back and tie it in. Used vacuum bagging film as the releasing surface. Won’t leave it fair b6bany stretch but it will get 3-4 plays on it anyway so I can deal with in. Not ideal but it saves time doing something else to the plywood to make it release. So far three plus of 1708.

I see you asking Bill S. questions over on THT. Great source of info...and you can take any advise he give you straight to the bank. Mr. Bill & Mr. Roy are good people.

Awesome to see you making headway with the stretch! How will you deal with the strakes on the stretched portion?

Going to attach them post completion of the bottom. By doing this I can remove/adjust them to tune the ride. If I get to much Stern lift I can do away with them. If I need bow up I can add rocker. That was one thing bill made me think of. Plus it is way easier to layup this way!

Making some progress on the stretching project. Tabbed the transom in and installed melamine to mold the hull sides. Going to lay it up tomorrow. Right now I have 6 laters on th3 bottom and expect to add the same amount to the exterior.
