Video of a poorly built boat breaking apart.... I have to Google this!!

The FB page on boat building has a large group using shit wood and polyester.... They seam to defend the quality of their builds, just don't tell them they should use epoxy and at least ext. ply.... banded for life on that FB page!!

That is a good looking material. should also be comfy on bare feet. The fish will also love flopping around on it!

I put this stuff in two Gheenoes. worked nice. Holds up well, the first (7 years ago) Gheenoe was a 15.4 High Side, I put in a false floor and used this vinyl. I saw the boat in January of this year and it looked great. It's not as non skid as they say!

I used it a lot inside of boats. Not for the sole but for the sides. A quick grinding down of the glass then glue the Nautolex. It is easy to clean, resistant but I never tried it outside.

Jacques,
I did not think about the sides! I plan on fairing and painting the sides.
The old Gheenoe has it glued to the sole (false floor) and gets a lot of use by the owner, almost every weekend he is out fishing the flats or with his Grandkids on the river.

When I build the Classic 17, I will look into using it in the cabin! It would be so clean looking...

Capt. UB can you post a link where you are getting it from and how you are gluing it down. I tried indoor/outdoor carpet from HD and glued it with contact cement and then it set out in the sun upside down and the glue melted off. Also the red clay around here stained the HD stuff quickly.
