Ilker,

Fantastic progress.
What material did you use for the foredeck?
We didn't stop, but are not flying like you. Will post some pictures next week.

Hej Peter,

To get the shape I have used 2 6mm ply layers.. Installed the first one on the wooden karkas that is hidden inside, epoxy glued that to the hull. Than put the second layer of 6 mm op top of that and connected them with epoxy glue and temporary screws to hold in place until the epoxy cured. After that the screws being removed, holes filled and seams are biaxed and than the complete foredeck is covered with fiberglass. Than a little sanding action and than in the pic as you see, it is faired with epoxy fair. The pic is actually after the first layer of fairing and sanding so it was not that bad.. All the experience that I have now from the hull fiberglassing is paying off... I made so many mistakes at the beginning which meant lots of fairing but it is all gone now.. I will need a second thin layer and most probably a very thin 3rd layer there for a smooth paint job but I will do them later as I am about to receive the shaft and propeller tomorrow or tuesday so I want to concentrate on installing them and the other bits as tanks and wiring and plumbing below sole...

Hello Ilker,

I've been quitely following your progress on the TW28.. it's looking very good. If you have a drawing of the rudder shoe, or as I believe you refered to it "propeller protection", would you post it. Short of a drawing more pictures. I've looked at several and have drawn up one of two, but I'm most impressed with what I see you have done with yours!

Well it looks as I am about to finish the boat below sole..

Tanks, plumbing and wiring is about to be complete.. Lots of material goes into the boat I gotta say..

Also started the engine for the first time and trying to upload a small clip of it for some diesel noise :D

Very very nice Ilker. I'm glued this thread and studying every move you make. :D

I just finished my last "Honeydo" and now I can start mine in the spring. Good luck, keep going and keep us posted.
