The Turtle is on its trailer ( which needs some ajustments after splash ) and headed to Bayside Marine to install jack plate and 50 HP Tohatsu. .From there back home to install troll motor, steps to front casting deck and fire ext, etc. Then to Brownsville to the Texas Parks and Wildlife for final inspection and Registration. Then SPLASH

8) Jim, She sure is "purty". Did you build or buy your own console. If you built it, it sure does look professional. Either way, I love it. Where are your batteries and fuel tank going? What size and type of trolling motor did you get? I know you're going to enjoy her. John :D

John, I found an old console ($40) Filled all the old holes sanded and painted it. had a glass co build the windshield ( $125) and a friend built the grab rail for me ($40). Look in about the 3-4 pic and you can see the gas tank under the console. The batteries go under the seat compartment at the front of the console. Still have to install ice box seat behind the console and the seat that covers the battery compartment along with the rub rails. I am going to install a 12 volt Motor Guide with remote control on the bow.

Thanks guys, but still another delay. Tohatsu sent the wrong throttle control and it may be as long as two weeks to get the right one. In the meantime has anyone ever installed a TESSILMARE rub rail kit? It came without directions so I am guessing that I'm to screw the flex strips on before puting on the black rubber part. The strips are pretty narrow, What size screws should I use and how far apart would recomend?

Thanks Peter, The video pretty well explained how to install the rub rail. It looks like they put the screws pretty close together.
