The Gods are frowning on attempts by Michael Glossie and I to explore the Noosa R. Raining at Noosa today and tomorrow - so we will just hold off until the Gods smile.

It is true. It's not meant to rain in May. This latest set of weather gods are useless. If they don't come good soon, it'll be past time to sack them and appoint ones who know which end is up.

Not to worry. It doesn’t make any difference to me if I live in Brisbane or Townsville - fortunately our son has an apartment in Brisbane that we can use.

I’m not going home without doing the Noosa R - I don’t need to be back in Townsville until then end of the month.

Barraman, you know you’ve created expectations of video and photos based on your evidence of trophy fish don’t you? We expect much footage of river and incomplete skinny water craft.

Yes, we know we have a tough audience, that’s why we’re holding out for some good weather!

Queensland is the “Sunshine” State, and Noosa is part of the Sunshine Coast. They lock you up here for making videos of rain!

I dont know all the slang in the US - but believe you me... if you made it known that you and your mate were donning "rubbers" to take a joy ride up the Noosa River - you would get some seriously weird looks here 8O
