All good :D  That is one big drawback with texting - sometimes the intent or humour is missed altogether.

Other than the mangrove that could be over here! Those things seem like a very angry mix of our trout and reds. Very angry. We do have a lower density is alligators than you of crocodiles. Which all means you have us in the angry animal scale. Also explains the amount of liquor every Aussie I've ever met puts away at breakfast. Hell, it seems even the water tries to kill you lot. I drink more too..

Make sure you get pics of the first landing of a barra.

My fishing buddies have me worried. They say that if the first fish in the boat is a flathead or cod it is doomed to be a non-productive Barra boat!

Oh dear, all that work and it's fate is in the hands of the Gods!

I strongly suggest you don't catch a flathead or a cod. No point in risking it. Or at least don't land one.

Organized the windscreen today - grey tinted plexiglass. Goes on next week.

I would have built it myself but the manufacturing process for plexiglass involves sodium cyanide, and I think that's a bit dicey for me to play around with!

Had the boat out today in some of the worst conditions my favorite fishing spot can throw up - big tides, strong winds and shallow water making the sea really stand up at either end of the channel.

On a rare calm section of water I think I may have found a "Sweet Spot" in engine rpm/jack plate height/trim tab setting/motor trim.

3800 rpm/30 kts/30 L/hr (8 USgal/hr)

Those are indeed some sweet numbers!
