Thanks Fuzz and bigtalljv.

We've decided to spend the next week or so cruising the Great Sandy Strait, the waterway that runs between the mainland and Fraser Island. This is our favourite local cruising ground. :D

Just anchored of South White Cliffs for the night.

Rain, rain, glorious drenching tropical rain. :D :D :D After cruising for just on three months without serious precipitation, this afternoon the heavens opened with a magnificently ferocious tropical storm, complete with lashings of thunder, lightening and smashing wet stuff. What a privileged 360 degree theatrical platform a small sailboat is in a vast storm. Awe inspiring. Just love it. :D :D :D

The Kingfisher Bay Sandbar is hard to sail past. :D And Sandbar hangovers hard to avoid.

Have spent the past few days yarning with the lounge lizards of the Sandbar, while the child bride has been busily wildflower exploring and sketching. Turns out one of the lizards is restoring a Noosa River boat and powering it with the same type of e-propulsion system I'm using in Skinnydip's hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system. Is there anything better than yarning with a fellow boat tragic over a glass or two? :D

Sounds like tough duty.

One of the best things about going to this years meet was to talk with other boat nuts.

So Michael, what does a "Noosa River boat" look like?

Cheers
