The battery locker under the anchor locker will have an inspection hatch aft of the battery. The gap between the two lockers provides ventilation to separate sub sole cool air ducts that are fed forward of the battery locker and run to the diesel engine box and the electrical motor box.

GB your build is so well thought out it is amazing. You must spend your evenings with a cold one planning things out every night.

Thanks Cape Man and Fuzz.

Glassed the sole to the hull from the engine bay forward with 6" wide 12oz biax tape, to pave the way for installing the forward frames.

That work is so clean! You're making me feel like a slob. I get resin all over when I glass.

Thanks Jeff and MrPaul.

I took more care than I normally would to get a clean result for the sole-hull taping, as a fastidious intending boat building friend is visiting today, and I'm trying to persuade him to build the new wide body FS18 with a tunnel. :D

Do a good job on the persuading. We can always use another build from down under :D

Yes it would be nice to see another Australian boat builder on the forum. Give this potential builder a hearty welcome from all of us world builders and tell him like you already did it is 5 o clock somewhere and then we are watching his progress. I hope one of these days there will be also another sail boat builder besides Salvatore from your side.
