One day in rough seas using the wheel to stay upright and steer you'll appreciate the extra strength that usually comes with extra weight.

I just realized I can use 17 oz glass on the roof and save 140 ounces and a LOT of work. Roof might be a bit weaker, but we don't need to walk up there much.

Glassed the rooftop today with 17 oz.

It is about 10.4 yards of glass. 177 ounces glass

Had to do a real wet layup to get the scrim lines filled.

96,96,36,12 oz. 240 oz resin

Used about 12 oz fillers on the tapes which were applied this weekend.

Working alone...pretty big job. Feel like a ply boat builder glassing a hull.

How did that epoxy use compare to your normal way of doing things given the waste rate?

Well, I had 27x133 scrim holes and holes in some of the core. I used a feeler gauge and decided the holes needed about .010" of epoxy each and calculated a need of 106 ounces per panel or 212 total, but I kinda figured I might need to go a little heavier as this is a tricky work back out of it wetout. (A bit wet it is!)

There was no waste here as this was all hand laid.

To be honest, I chucked about 4 - 6 oz epoxy because I overmixed my top it off at the end.

One spot was a little airy and I added some resin at the end. You can see it on the back left side.

Nope. Placing head walls😊for real. Or, yes, doing dryfits.

That there is an $800 shitter with a $200 flush control.

Too bad it doesn't have a paperless mode.
