I bet it feels good to get all the major hull pieces done. Things are looking nice.

Yeah. I sort of think I might end up with a boat despite needing more drawings from the designer. He is not slowing me down; to be clear.

I had some fun and am refurbishing the steering wheel from the Starfire 1972 24’ we crushed.

The teak spoke (inserts) were cracking; so I had to epoxy them up and now I have 2 coats of epifanes on them. Today, I went n bought another piece of teak for some console trim and the center of the wheel.

The center hole is 0.720 and the wheel is a 17”. I think most helms are 0.750, so I will need it reamed, but will wait until the helm is in hand.

The teak bits look black in the pic.

This is better; but full sun will be better.

We finished the top panel bow joins and tape seams on the upper panel.

We’ll start on bulkheads tomorrow.

In a race to get the BH in three weeks.

Two bulkheads went in today. Was lots of work. BH1 gets the top portion removed, so tabbing at top is temporary.

Will this come out much lighter than the ply in frame method shown in some Woods designs? Better resale value? Looks good -but lots of work!!

Looking good Fallguy. With no holes in that bulkhead, will there be air tight areas in the hulls?
