Will sand the cutout rounder and glass/epoxy.

Stearing clear and lifted up motor is clear.
Transom cut down 2.5".

Now it's just right!

The transom cutout pieces.

Checked again, everything last night, steering, OB tilted up and the cav. plate inline with the bottom of the hull.
Will be sanding, shaping the transom cutout, then epoxy/glass on the cutout tonight and run on Sunday.
Will have to wait to do the touchup painting till the epoxy cures.
Transom cutout and OB will work great.

I have some small final finishes to do on the inside. Still looking for a vinyl graphic of a SandPiper decal for each side. This maybe the one I use..

Got the transom cut down and sealed cutout with epoxy and painted it.

Will be in the water in the morning, to see how this 2.5 cutout works.

Weather looks good. Wish it was a bit cooler!

This FS14 is really a pretty boat. Basic, but so capable of so many uses. I'm glad I started on this design first.

Your little Sand Piper is a good looking FS-14. I hope she does well for you in the sea trials tomorrow.

Thanks. I think it's all done now.... that is with the transom and outboard! She ran 17 mph at 3/4 throttle with the other transom setup. Much better water flow to prop this time around. I have not ordered the tach from Tohatsu yet. May not.... We will see Saturday.

You changed props too right?

Yes 7.5 pitch. Same one I used the 2nd. time I ran the boat. Worked fine, just missing something.... Will know tomorrow.

I like the decal. Maybe take it to a Harley shop and get it painted on over your final paint job. Those guys can be exceptional painters and make stuff really pop with a shadow line or enhancements.

Good luck at the launch.
