Lol. I had to cut down a tree and move my mailbox just to get enough "straight ahead" room to pull it past the house to make the turn to the street!

Going to have to replace my KIA Sorento with a much more powerful tow vehicle when she's ready to splash. Just using the KIA to push her around the yard for now.

Hi all,

If you're interested, I just uploaded a video of the first part of the build, from start to flip: [LINK WENT DEAD]

NOTE: A few people said they were having trouble with sound and I think it's because I set some of the audio levels incorrectly, so I had to delete and re-upload it. I didn't realize that would change the URL, so the revised video with better sound is here: https://youtu.be/-lI4R1lkbDw

Really terrific! Watched the whole thing. A very nice effort we all can enjoy. Heartwarming with the whole family involved. My heart skipped a beat on the flip  I haven't posted on your thread but have been following along the entire time. Thanks for this post.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was a pain to edit!

Very well done, Wes. Found myself smiling throughout much of the video. Family time together w/ memories to last a lifetime.

So, this is a trailerable houseboat.

Are you gonna put something sacrificial on the bottom front?

I am thinking a couple four wood strakes.

And then are you gonna stern tie it to shore?

I have visions of how I would use it.0

Thanks! Those girls are all my joy in life.

Not sure on the strakes... I'm worried they'll interfere with the bunks when loading onto the trailer and a boat this heavy will be hard to readjust without relaunching. Thought I'd try it without them first as I don't think they'll be too hard to add later if I change my mind.

Great video! Had to be a lot of fun with the whole family helping get the boat to this point.
"that it isn't just an ordinary sort of boat. Sometimes it's a Boat, and sometimes it's more of an Accident. It all depends." "Depends on what?" "On whether I'm on the top of it or underneath it."
