Today I completed the inside FG taping of the deck to the cabin sides. I am really impressed with the design strength of this boat and have full confidence she will be able to handle the heavy amount of coastal cruising I have planned for her.

But will it handle the heavy drinking I have planned?

I tried to say something but God thought I was wrong and filled my mouth with saltwater. I kept my pie hole shut after that.

I owe you an apology Bogie. I tried to drown him but he kept holding on like a damn octopus

Well it’s been close to a week since I’ve been able to work on the boat because of all the rain etc. My backyard is still swampy but I got out there today and went at it like a wild man. Heat index was 101😀.

I spent an hour in the cabin, mixed up several batches of thickened epoxy and completed the fillets that secure the roof beams to the cabin roof/ deck ( no FG tape required). After that I spent 3 or 4 hours fairing the starboard side of the hull with my longboard sander. This is going way better (and faster) than expected.

The photo is not very sexy but at least it’s something for you guys to look at 😂

Aren’t you supposed to wait till you’re in the water to capsize it?

Looks great. Can’t wait to get up there with a beer and a sharpie.

 That’s freaking hilarious, Jaysen! Your last bit of artwork on the port side is hidden under all them microballoons
