Very clever, Bogie, that'll work. Remember, the nylon is stretchy--but on the other hand I don't know how much forward force you want to apply to the top of the rail by over-tightening.

Thanks Tony! 😀The rope is pretty tight. I’m not worried about force on the stern rail because it is solid and does not move even when putting a lot of force against them.

I applied for title/ registration for Tipsy a few weeks back. A couple days ago a officer from the South Carolina Dept of Natural Resources stopped by the house and inspected the boat. I forgot to get a picture! Anyway, he was quite thorough: I was asked to present the building plans, show evidence of scrap wood, forward a link to the Bateau.com website, and provide receipts if available. He said it'll take another month and I sshould be good to go :D

I also purchased a trailer hitch since our vehicle didn't have one. It should arrive next week and I will install it myself.

The weather is supposed to be in the 70s again next week so I will finally get the cabin interior painted. Once that is done I will get her on the trailer and install the 300 plus pounds of ballast under the cabin sole.

Exciting stuff!

We had some crazy storms here most of the evening on up until early morning. Squalls of heavy rain and wind that at times sounded like we were having a hurricane! In a leap of faith & w/hopeful optimism, I decided to leave tipsy uncovered in order to give her companionway hatch and drop board its first real test. I am happy to report she is bone dry inside. I am so relieved!! She looks clean with all the dust knocked off of her
