Hello,

Here is the progress of these weeks.

I glued the backing plate for stern seat pedestal, the support for rod tubes, did 3 coats of tinted epoxy on stern compartment and stern deck, cut and glued the hatches stiffeners for front deck, two rounds of fairing on cockpit and closed the motorwell.

Small things, but time consuming.

To tint epoxy I´m using powdered titanium dioxide, much better than paste pigment. 5% in weight gives an uniform matte white finish.

The trick is to mix it with resin before add hardener and roll during warm weather.

I add the powder to small amount of resin, mix it until it get uniform, than add the remaining resin, mix again and finally add hardener.

If you add in mixed resin or roll it in cold weather (nights here 10°C) it gives odd results.

Hey man,

Unfortunately boat is resting under a tarp for the last weeks. :( My boat building activities now is to stalk the other on the forum

Wife still recovering from a health problem last year that put her on a wheelchair and we decided to stay for a while at hers father´s house at the beach.

The good part is that she is getting better and I´m in a small town near a larger reminiscent of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest, so I´m spending my free time off work exploring the surroundings with my in laws.

Regards!
