Popped the boat outside this morning before work and wet-sanded the outside.

I have decided not to leave any of the epoxy-graphite-aluminium exposed. I will be happy to touch up paint when it gets scraped off the bottom.

Got the fillets around the seats neatened up and applied the first coat of primer to the outside.

Thanks chaps.

Oh but flaws there are a plenty, Narfi. That you cannot see them is due to cunningly clever, camera work

I am not sure if I should be jealous of your warm workshop, or jealous of a belly small enough to fit around the edges of the boat while painting.......

My little workspace is in the middle of a building so it's very temperature stable. I only have to heat it when the temperature outside drops a fair few degrees below freezing.

I'm not a skinny chap by any means but we get used to tight spaces here in England; my three-bedroom house is smaller than your boatbuilding tent :(

Applied a coat of primer to the inside and got a second coat on the outside.

The outside has no issues at all apart from a couple of small dents that I'm happy to leave. The fillets around the seats need some attention though.

My pan is to try to get a coat of something on somewhere every day until it's done.

In the meantime, I need to rig up something so I can slide it into my storage container when it's done. I really must have my little workshop back and I've got some serious clearing up to do; there's bloody epoxy dust everywhere.

I think you might win..... I was ahead there for a bit but my sprint has slowed to a crawl and you have leaped into the lead :P

I'm not racing you Narfi, maybe we're just stumbling along together, like two blokes on the way home from the pub
