Sanded up some ropey fillets as best I could then gave the inside another coat of primer

I'd love to be able to spray it but have nowhere I can do that at the moment. Was almost tempted to drop it into the accident repair place three doors down and let them do it but have gone with a roller instead

Flipped over this evening and rolled a coat of topcoat on the outside. It's cream / soft yellow but it doesn't really show up in the photos, and It will be a satin finish when dry. I'm going to try for two coats of topcoat if my paint goes that far but I'll use what I've got and call it done. I'll probably change the colour on the outside when I touch up the scrapes and scratches from use.

Went from Battleship to Buttercup!

Just teasing.

Looks great and a classic color for a canoe.

If I can see the damage I can fix it early. Paint is cheap

Actually, that's a lie, it's bloody expensive these days but a pint will touch up a lot of scratches. :D

One pint= Crap I've got a scratch.
Two pints= It's only a flesh wound.
Three pints=I'll look into it.
Four pints=Where's my boat?
Five pints= What boat?
Six pints= What was I saying?
From there it only gets worse, you start to question the meaning of life. You run into nobility that pass gas your general direction etc.

Looking forward to splash pictures. :D

Got a coat rolled on the inside today.

There are a few dinks, dents and rough bits inside but I really didn't want to spend any more time filling and sanding. It is, afterall just a little canoe for dicking about in.

Don't worry, I do have a cunning plan to prevent it looking like an anaemic banana once I've finished main painting.

For info, the paint I am using is Blakes / Hempel single pack. Both the primer and the satin topcoat cover surprisingly well. They are quite stinky though so I might be due a bollocking from the company that occupies the upstairs of the unit. 8O

If you were a person of ... unusual humor ... say like fuzz or peter C, you might consider embracing the inner banana and just paint her like a banana split sundae. A scoop of chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, some sauces and whipped cream. I'm sure you'd have some great conversations with interesting people with a canoe like that.
