Fuzz, I hope it performs as well as it looks. I really wanted to get it out on the water this week. I went to apply for my vin# today and found out it has to be sent off and then they will send the vin tag. So now the real waiting game starts. Uggggggggg

Thanks Jeff! I will say every time I got to the burnt out stalling stage I just went and looked at this forum to get my butt in gear.

Well it only took close to 4 months for the state of Missouri to process my paperwork, but it’s all done and I hope to post some pics of it on the water running tomorrow!!

First time on the water good, I figured I would need to lower the motor 2 inches since it’s an 18 inch shaft not a 20 inch. So top end was not there, so I came home and notched the transom to get the motor more where it needs to be.

Today I will get a few more pics of it on the water and I hope to report much better top end results.

What more brand and size is it? I hate it when manufacturers do not stick to the industry standards they agreed upon but this happens often with small motors.

25hp mercury, I have learned to take a tape measure with you when you go to buy a used motor. After I mounted motor I noticed it was going to be close. Not a big deal just another adjustment to a then finished boat.

I managed to get out again this morning, water was pretty rough so I wasn’t able to take pics but I was able to top out at 30mph on the rough water. So ready for nice smooth water to really get a good run in. This boat is so much fun!

Thanks for the report. 30 mph in rough weather is very good for that little boat.

It's not too big a deal to cut a transom down but to add is a problem.
