Thank you all for the support and guidance, it amazes me how many people are willing to help someone without belittling them in the process! I'm still waiting for my plans to arrive for now I continue to read the information provided in the downloads.

Plus 10% would get you there...............just saying :D
I almost want to remember reading some time ago where Jaques said the 25 was a stretched version of the 23. Not sure it could be stretched further. This however is most likely wrong information...from the simple fact that it's what "I" seem to remember...that normally doesn't work out very well for me. LoL

Not exactly stretched. I designed a 24 and scale it down to 13 and up to 25. Redid the calculations and got two boats out of the same concept.
One day I may design a 27 in the same style but keep in mind that with bracket, the 25 becomes a 27 LOA.

I'd love to see a design of a 27' that with a bracket would be 29'.

I got standard measurements from Armstrong brackets, this made my CS LOA 28', don't think you can lift the engine on a 2' bracket without bumping into the transom.

Could someone explain why meranti plywood is cheaper than okoume, seams to me meranti has more Plies and is a little bit heavier but I would think that that is better? Could I get some thoughts and opinions please.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, Okume is more scarce as Meranti it comes only from Gabon as I understood, Okume is more flexible so for a complicated hull shape with lots of curves it's more ideal opposite to Meranti
