... I would read the directions on the can and I hope the new owner does too, probably hes a smart guy. But its always nice to know what others have experenced, see the Smoke thing... that is good to know, I too would think I broke it. Thank you...

Those "flapper things" are called reeds, they are required for case-induction motors so that any pressurization going the wrong direction won't be vented back out the carburetors.
