I did the break in period for the new motor today, she runs like a top. caught some redfish, Life is good!

The 15 p powertech 4 blade is a little much and i need to down pitch about 2" to get the rest of my rpms i need. I heard you can have the prop guy do that so it shouldn't be an issue.

We launched the boat Sunday in Chass and headed out to Black Rock which is about 12 miles south into hernando county. This was as far as i've ran the boat so far. It was very calm and the boat handled great in the slight chop, it does have a tendency to porpoise at higher speeds offshore. We stopped for some unsuccessful fishing attempts on a few rocks then headed back in to catch a few reds. The entire day I burnt 6 gals of fuel and have no more concerns about the capacity of my 12 gal tank. I'll usually run about half that far during a day with clients. Top speed loaded down was 25mph, but I haven't down pitched my prop yet or raised my motor like i intend to. Right now where the jack plate is sitting i can run it all the way up all the time with no cavitation, i'd like to see how it does a few inches higher  8)

My camera has been on the frits but here's a short video of the day before my gopro died.

A little update on the "Miss Lilly", after taking the last few months off, I finally got the prop situation sorted out to where im happy with the performance. I probably tried 6 different ones before getting some the performance I was expecting. I went through every 3 and 4 blade prop i could find and after blowing about $1200, my buddy kieth gave me an old 3 blade SS Rapture he had for free. I'm now getting max 35 mph fully loaded at 5400 RPM wot with a little variation depending on chop and water depth.I lost a little hole shot when i ditched the 4 blade power tech. The Mercury Big tiller 60 is finally able to push the boat like it should. Been doing a little fishing and picking up guide trips where I can.

Thankful for all the help i've gotten on this forum and others i've met along the way during the building and testing process.

That boat is perfect for there!
