Thanks. Gave them a call. They have a continental that would work for it for $799 plus tax. Will have to check it out.

Cool, Continental makes a great trailer.
Which model do they have for $799?

They were talking about the CS1715 Galvanized and would put a longer tongue on it since the FS18 is so light and narrow. I gave them the specs and they said this one is a tad short but would extend the tongue and bunks. I called B&G trailers in Deland. They make trailers to spec or can modify stock trailers.

I had Continental modify one of their Aluminum trailers because I didn't like that all the models were much too wide for the FS18. I also wanted a torsion axle to have the boat as low as possible for ease of dry launching. I also had very little width in my garage so wanted the trailer to be as narrow as possible, and I had them install a folding tongue as well. Overall I'm happy with the trailer, dry launching and loading is easy, only down side is a semi custom cost me 2 grand. I was working with a trailer place in St. Augustine, so I guess they add some cost, so going directly to Continental might be less costly.

@seaslug I am trying to stay under or around $1k on the trailer :) Wish I had the free cash for one like that though. I am trying to budget out for a motor and trailer so gotta make sure I dont overspend on one. I am pretty sure I will go with a 15" shaft 15hp or 25hp as long as I can find a decent used one. They were all over craigslist a few months back but now its mostly 1970s and 80s Johnsons and Evenrudes on there. It will be a while before I need one so plenty of time to look.
